Close Your Eyes and Dream

Despite what Wes Craven would have you5B4 believe, dreams cannot harm you, but they can help you immensely. Not the ones you have when you're sleeping, but the ones you hold in your heart ... your fondest desires. Those dreams can shape your reality if you take the time to give them life ... to visualize them. Do you ever wonder about the self-confidence that successful people always seem to have? It's that self-confidence that got them where they wanted to be. They focused on the goal and the mind and body made it happen.

Do you ever "what if"? Instead of playing "what if", why not play "I am". How does one play? It all comes back to be-ing. You can be what you want if you can picture yourself being it, living it, experiencing it. Close your eyes, relax, and imagine that you ARE the successful ______, and that you live in the beautiful __________, overlooking _________. You have a wonderful life. You are able to relax and enjoy life to the fullest. You are content and all of your worries are gone. Use all 5 of your senses. Elaborate from there. What kind of house do you live in? Where is it located? Is this your summer home? What does the air smell like when you arrive at your home? Is it by the sea? Is it in the country?

Can you see it clearly? How does it make you feel? Do you feel like it is really yours? Do you feel as though you've earned it, that you deserve all that you are visualizing? This too is part of the process. When your feelings are one with yo5B4ur thoughts and beliefs, and they are focused on the positive goals that you have set, the picture that you are holding in your mind's eye ... they will begin manifesting. In essence, you've used your thoughts to attract the people, ideas, situations, etc. that will bring you the vision that you are holding of yourself. Thus creating your reality.

Bridget was feeling exceptionally low when a friend suggested that she schedule a session with a personal coach. She was hesitant and skeptical, thinking that there was not anything that her coach could tell her that she hadn't already thought of, envisioned, or dreamed of herself. She found that she was both right and wrong in her assumptions. When she met Dora she was impressed by how grounded she was and by how much they had in common. She also found out that a couple of years ago before Dora discovered coaching, that she was feeling adrift and had a business that was floundering. Bridget readily identified with this because her gift shop had been doing so poorly lately, that she had a number of creditors calling looking for payment. Dora told her that she used visualization to obtain her goals. Bridget scoffed at the idea. But when Dora explained that someone told her that if she could not visualize herself as a success that she would never be a success ... it began to make sense. Bridget didn't think she thought of herself as a failure, but realized that she also did not think of heB2Arself as a success.

Bridget spent 15 minutes twice a day visualizing herself running a successful business, living in the house of her dreams and living a debt free life. After a few weeks, she noticed the change in the level of confidence she had in her abilities. She approached her business dealings with more self-confidence which in turn began to increase her bottom line. Her increase in confidence made her much more attentive to her customers which produced larger sales. With Dora as her coach, Bridget used her dreams to obtain her reality. She visualized, imagined, spoke about and wrote down her goals to support her state of be-ing. She refused to back down and allow limiting thoughts to tarnish her future.

If Bridget could do it, so can you. Let go of the limiting thoughts and begin by embracing the life that you want, desire, and deserve. Let the picture you see in your mind support your goals and you will help them materialize that much faster. Let your dreams be the guide to your future and the road to your success. You just have to close your eyes and ... DREAM.

Simplified Work

- Making Your Best Contribution
By: Enoch Tan

If you really want to grow your business you are going to have to answer a single question that almost no struggling entrepreneur ever asks themselves. You want to know what it is? Of course you do, so let's press on.

Now listen, don't let the simplicity of the question fool you because it'll be easy to dismiss it, but if you do, you'll never even achieve a fraction of what you are capable of. Ok, so here it is:

What Work Are You Willing To Leave Undone?

The sooner you realize that you can't read everything, nor can you cross off every item on your to do list the better. Because at that very moment you are forced to realize that you absolutely must prioritize no matter what.

You see, realizing you can't do everything helps you determine what you really must be doing, and realizing you can't read everything forces you to decide which information you must read.

Now if you are wondering how you make these difficult decisions, have no fear because the answer is simple. You have to know what you want and what you must do to get it. Once you know then you can make effective decisions about what you should be doing, who you should be talking to, and what you should be studying.

What's important is that we each make the best contribution we can. Ask yourself this: Are you currently making the best contribution you're capable of making? If the answer is clearly no, then there's no point in continuing on your current path, is there? Common sense suggests that if you know you're on the wrong path, you should stop walking. The longer you stay on the wrong path, the worse things are for all of us. Maybe it will take a few days to find the right path. Maybe it will take several years. But it's still better to be lost for several years than to be lost for a lifetime.

Why do we hold ourselves back from the best and settle for the good? Fear. We fear what it will be like to live on the edge of the best. Just imagine what it would feel like to be reading the very best book, doing the best workout, eating the best food, having the best job, enjoying the best relationship, living in the best house, driving the best car, having the best friends, living the best life.

If you're holding something that's just good while something better is easily within your grasp, then your good isn't really good at all. The good is the enemy of the best. You have to give up doing something good in order to do something better. Be willing to bypass many good things because they are just not good enough compared to what's best. You want to serve and help, but you want to serve and help in the best way you can.

You need to sacrifice the urgent for the important. Many a times, what's urgent is not really necessary to be dealt with after all. You need to go for what's best instead of what's good or even great. Do not forfeit the greater good by allowing yourself to be entangled with the lesser good.

Have you ever single-mindedly decided to pursue a goal or solve a problem and just as you were making progress on it something grabbed your attention and moved your focus away from what you were focused on? Then all of a sudden when you went back to try to focus in on it again, you felt like EVERYTHING backed up on you and you had even more problems or things to tend to or deal with first.

It is a myth that opportunity only comes along once in a life time. The truth is, it comes along every day. If you have a vision and a clearly defined goal for your business, you can now determine what opportunities compliment your goal and are congruent with your business goals or if the opportunity is really a cleverly disguised DISTRACTION.

Keep your eye on your goal and DO NOT allow outside distractions to pull your attention off of what you are aiming to achieve. The truth is, many of these distractions will come as HUGE opportunities presented with great marketing, the rest will come as your very own family and friends.

But, some opportunities must be seized. And if this one will help you do what you already want to do better, or are doing better, then you know to take advantage of this opportunity and achieve greater success or at a faster rate. Instead of chasing opportunities, pick your position. The one that works to your strengths and compliments your vision. The secret of success is to discipline your life so that you support your deepest purpose and minimize distractions and detours.

You need to be great at ONE thing and good at every thing else. Those that end up quitting, try to be "great at everything", and in the end are great at nothing and good at one thing, which is making no money at all.

It is very likely that you are the only person in your business with the capabilities and knowledge and skills to bring in new business, and making sure projects get completed. This is the only way your business prospers. When you don't do these things, they don't get done!

Focus on things that directly relate to improving the results of your immediate business. Leave other things aside if you want to see exponential growth faster. It is all a matter of balancing between closing yourself to other opportunities and opening yourself to them.

Stay focused and concentrate on your goal. In doing so, you will maintain your momentum and quickly achieve your dreams and desires. Let others waste their time on things that don't get any real work done, while you focus only on what's best and what's important.

Your Only Recipe For Success

Setting Goals:
By: Innocent M Gathungu

Goals are like signposts. As long as you can see these signposts, then you know you are heading in the right direction. When you set goals, you eliminate the possibility veering off the track and derailing into failure. When a train veers of the rails, the entire locomotive is derailed. Looking at the rails, one does not see anything special in them; just a solid mass of steel. But that simple mass of steel ensures that the train remains on course and that everyone on board reaches their destination safely and on time.

Goals are like rails. Without them, our claim to success will never find expression in reality. Just as a train must stay on the rails to complete the journey, our dreams, our ambitions, and our desires must find expression in goals that are clear, realistic and timely.

When we have well articulated and clearly defined goals, the journey towards success becomes lighter, even less tiring. This is because goals help us to (i) stay focused (ii) be realistic in our expectations (iii) gauge our progress (iv) avoid being overwhelmed (v) re-evaluate and redefine our strategy to ensure conformity and consistency with our objectives.

Stay focused

John Maxwell says "obstacles are the things you see when you take your eyes off the goal". How true! Every time you take your eyes away from the goal at hand, you will surely wander off into troubled waters. If you get to a point in your success journey where you can't see your goal, you are definitely headed into failure territory.

Goals constantly remind us that there are tasks that need to be done, and within a particular time frame, for us to make progress. Without goals reminding us of where we are and what we are supposed to do to get where we ought to be, we will only be working hard and achieving nothing. Hard work, as Maxwell says, "is the accumulation of easy tasks you did not do when you should have". The easy routine tasks that we sometimes ignore feeds into our success. Failure to perform these tasks will translate into failure.

Goals must be realistic

Goals must be firmly established upon unflinching reality. If you want to go to New York and you only have ten dollars, it would be foolhardy to start packing for your journey. The reality is that boarding a plane to New York from Nairobi costs more than 10 dollars! But you say, "I have faith in God"? Well, faith is not foolish, neither is it an emotion. No amount of goose bumps or frenzied hysteria will take you to New York on ten dollars. Be real or you will miss the deal.

Goals are yardsticks

Like yardsticks, goals help us gauge or measure our progress, or lack of it. Without goals constantly reminding us where we are and what we should be doing to get where we ought to be, we will be running wild. No amount of sticking our head deep into the sand will help us achieve success. We must stick it out to the end by daily attaining the goals we have set for ourselves. This can only be done if today's tasks are 'done' today!

To post pone to tomorrow today's task will only mean one thing: a clog up tasks. The result is that we end up breaking our backs trying to accomplish both yesterday's and today's tasks; resulting in sloppy and unfinished tasks.

Goals help us avoid overwhelm

To de-stress our lives, we need to learn how to work smart by finishing our daily tasks on schedule.

This is important if we are to avoid being overwhelmed by tasks carried over from yesterday.

One of the leading causes of burnout and depression is the failure to tackle simple tasks on time. As tasks pile up one after another, we end up having to work overtime and sometimes overnight; pushing our body to limits it was not designed to go. To avoid overwhelm, learn to decongest your life by doing what must be done today, today! However if you want to work hard and up stressing yourself, go ahead and let the tasks accumulate.

Goals help us re-strategize

Finally we need to re-evaluate and redefine our strategy to ensure conformity with our objectives. Strategies help us achieve our goals faster. However, some of the strategies we use are sometimes rendered obsolete by the passage of time. When this happens, it is important to redefine or tweak them a little.

Strategies must always remain relevant and in line with the desired goals. When they become irrelevant or obsolete, they should be discarded and new ones invented.

Strategies help us save time by crowding out irrelevant tasks; those that only take up our time but which do not feed into in to our goals. Strategies also help us to concentrate on priority tasks; those that are crucial to the attainment of our goals.

Important Life Questions

What is your purpose in life? Why are you here? Are you on the right path? What will it take to find true happiness? Are you in the right relationship? Why is your life filled with drama and trauma? Why is this (whatever) happening to you?

These are just a few of the thousands of haunting questions that millions of people ask themselves every day. Answers. Everyone wants answers to their life questions and they want them now.

What is your destiny?

Sooner or later you will ask yourself many of these and more difficult life questions. It may take you more than half of your life to decide to search for the answers or you may begin the search in earnest when you are in your teens or twenties. Regardless, I guarantee that everyone, before they leave this planet, will struggle with many unanswered questions. Most of these life questions are impartial to your gender, financial status, age, career, or any other circumstances.

There are no right or wrong answers to the many questions of your life. But there are honest and dishonest answers. Answers often come as insights, signs, intuition, and circumstances; they are not always written on a legal pad and placed on your kitchen table every morning at breakfast. Our inability to interpret these signs, signals, experiences, or circumstances correctly is what often leads us to our dishonest answers. It is not an intentional process, but an outcome of all of our previous years of living, decisions, choices, consequences, and outcomes, as well as our perceptions.

Dishonest answers can lead to errors in judgment, negative experiences, high stress, and frustration. Honest answers can lead to inner peace, joy, harmony, law of success, and happiness.

You can continue to live in conscious denial or you can choose to begin to ask yourself better questions and listen to the answers with integrity, openness, and courage.

Keep in mind that your life is a work in progress. The day will never come when you are not given the opportunity to learn, grow, understand, and change: who you are, what you believe, what you think, and what you do. The sub-title of this book says An On-going Success System. Why must it be ongoing? Why can’t you just spend a few hours simply answering the questions and be done with it? Your answers to many of the questions at age 25 will be different than your answers at age 50. Some may be the same, but those are not the ones to spend time on. The ones that deserve your attention are the questions that, for whatever reason, have a different meaning for you at a different stage of your life. Circumstances change. Knowledge changes. People change. Attitudes change. Everything that is impacting your life is changing—every day.

The answers to your career answers at age 24 may vary greatly when you are 58. Your relationship answers when you are single and dating might change dramatically when you are 35, married, and have three children.

Many of the questions in in your life will determine your future outcomes and consequences and then their corresponding questions at that new time in your life. Choosing wisely is one of the most important aspects of your life. Choosing: your relationships, your career, your beliefs, your morals, your attitudes, and everything in between. For example:

- How do you feel about yourself right now?
- Can you accept yourself for who you are right now?
- What is your attitude about failure? Adversity? Problems?

If you want better answers to life’s questions, it is important to ask yourself the right questions. It is critical that you listen carefully to the answers and it is vital that you act on what you hear. There are two ways to live your life: you can lead with your mind or intellect and let your heart follow or you can lead with your heart and let your mind and intellect follow. Which do you feel will give your life more peace, harmony, fulfillment, satisfaction and favorable memories? If you said lead with your heart, you are right. Who says so? Deep inside your inner being or soul, you know that when you lead with your mind or intellect, it often leads you astray.

- You may not like some of the answers you get to your questions.
- You may disagree with some of the answers.
- You ego might weave its way into some of your answers.
- You may feel you do not deserve the answer.
- You may be afraid that you can’t comply with some of the answers.
- You may believe that your answers are in conflict with what you believe you want.

In the end you will be the one who either does something with your answer or ignores it completely. You will be the one who takes the action or sits back waiting for a better or more appropriate answer. You will inherit the consequences of whichever road you choose to take.

This is your life. We are not talking here about your parent’s life, your children’s life, your spouse’s life, your boss’s life, or Uncle Billy-Bob’s life. We are talking about YOUR life:

- what you will do with your life,
- what you will get from your life,
- what you will contribute to humankind,
- what your life will ultimately stand for,
- what your legacy will be,
- what you believe,
- what you do with the time you were given,
- what you learn and how you apply what you learn.

Clearing Blockages to Increase the Flow of Money into Your Life

Money is probably the most challenging thing for many people to manifest. It can also be easiest. Just look at those who have millions or billions of dollars. It doesn’t matter what the economy is doing, there will still be a great many people with an abundance of money. What are they doing differently? Are they just “lucky”?

When we understand that money is energy, only then can we began to focus on how to direct that energy flow into our lives. It all starts with each of us individually. How is your energy flowing today?

One way to get our personal energy flowing is to first look at our health. What are we putting into our bodies? I’ve learned that some of the biggest zappers of energy are things such as sugar, white flour, white rice, processed foods, soft drinks (diet ones too), drugs, smoking, alcohol, just to name a few. And please stay away from artificial sweeteners such as aspartame which is in that blue sweetener packet. This poison will block one’s energy in many ways. For details, visit Dr. Janet Hull’s website at: www.sweetpoison.com

Eliminating these items from our diets and replacing them with nutritious foods, especially “live” foods such as raw, fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, and lots of pure water will not only bring us good health but will greatly enhance the energy flow in our bodies.

When setting out to achieve anything, the energy of it must first come through us. That is why it's so important to clear the way, so to speak, so energy flows freely. If we have blocks in this flow, these manifest outwardly into our lives, in various forms. Poor health as well as a shortage of cash flow are possible results.

The next step is to look around at our immediate environment. Energy flows constantly, everywhere. The trick is directing this energy so it becomes most beneficial to our lives. If we have clutter in our homes or offices, we have blockages to energy.

One excellent way to learn how to easily clear these blockages and enhance every aspect of our lives, including money and prosperity, is to learn the ancient Chinese science of feng shui (pronounced “fung shway”). Feng shui literally means “wind” and “water” and it’s is fun and easy to learn. I began to successfully use this science in my home about 12 years ago and I’m still amazed at how efficiently and quickly it works! Although this science is still somewhat new to the western world, I feel one day it will be common knowledge and we will all know how to enhance our lives with this science, including wealth and prosperity. I’ve learned that most of the rich and famous worldwide use feng shui for their homes and businesses.

One very comprehensive source of information about feng shui is the national best-selling book, Move Your Stuff, Change Your Life: How to Use Feng Shui to Get Love, Money, Respect and Happiness by Karen Rauch Carter, professional feng shui consultant and licensed landscape architect. I interviewed her on my radio talk show and I love her great sense of humor in her approach to feng shui. Karen’s website is at: http://www.fengshuipalace.com where you will find numerous articles, tips and information about this art.

More recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Master Kwai Lan Chan, who has years of experience in the art of Imperial Feng Shui. She was trained and educated as a financial auditor and has a strong financial and business background to help her clients become prosperous with the energy of feng shui. A wealth of information about Imperial Feng Shui can be found on her website at: http://www.imperialfengshui.com

There are many more ways we can direct energy in our lives – these are only two methods we can use to clear any possible blockages to this flow. Once we have energy flowing positively in our bodies and homes, we will definitely begin to see the results in our lives, not only with our health and other areas of our lives but with an increased cash flow.

So I repeat, how is your energy flowing today?

It's Not All About Money

I was told a story the other day while I was in the midst of racking up surfing credits, answering e-mails, packing orders, answering the phone. I almost didn't listen to it at first, but suddenly I was quiet and gave the storyteller my full attention. The story went like this:

A nurse took a tired, anxious serviceman to the bedside of an old man, who was desperately ill and not expected to make it through the night..

"Your son is here," she said to the old man.

She had to repeat the words several times before the patient's eyes opened.

Heavily sedated because of the pain of his heart attack, he dimly saw the young uniformed Marine standing outside the oxygen tent. He reached out his hand. The Marine wrapped his toughened fingers around the old man's limp ones, squeezing a message of love and encouragement.

The nurse brought a chair so that the Marine could sit beside the bed. All through the night, the young Marine sat there in the poorly lighted ward, holding the old man's hand and offering him words of love and strength. Occasionally, the nurse suggested that the Marine move away and rest awhile.

He refused. Whenever the nurse came into the ward, the Marine was oblivious of her and of the night noises of the hospital - the clanking of the oxygen tank, the laughter of the night staff members exchanging greetings, the cries and moans of the other patients.

Now and then she heard him say a few gentle words. The dying man said nothing, only held tightly to his son all through the night.

Along towards dawn, the old man died. The Marine released the now lifeless hand he had been holding and went to tell the nurse. While she did what she had to do, he waited.

Finally, she returned. She started to offer words of sympathy, but the Marine interrupted her.

"Who was that man?" he asked.

The nurse was startled, "He was your father," she answered.

"No, he wasn't," the Marine replied. "I never saw him before in my life."

"Then why didn't you say something when I took you to him?"

"I knew right away there had been a mistake, but I also knew he needed his son, and his son just wasn't here. When I realized that he was too sick to tell whether or not I was his son, knowing how much he needed me, I stayed."

How much we can learn from this compassion for a stranger? The time taken out of one's life to help another person in need. In today's frenetic internet world where everyone is jockeying for space, it is a good thing to pause, give a helping hand to newbies.

The next time someone needs you ... Just be there. Stay.

The Law of Attraction and the SGR Program

The Law of Attraction is about putting yourself and your mindset in a space that allows you to be in a position to receive gifts from the universe. By working and thinking in a specific way, you can attract your hearts desires. There are specific steps you can take to allow you to attract anything into your life.

That specific way is known as the "certain way" according to Wallace D. Wattles. Wattles believed there is a particular set of steps one does to create wealth in our lives. These steps involve the physical, emotional and mental aspects of our lives. When they are in line and we act in a "certain way", then it is inevitable that we can receive the riches of the universe.

According to Wattles, it is an abundant universe. We can create the opportunities and the wealth into our lives by directing our thoughts and actions. When we place value on ourselves and the things we do, they will have an economic value to others around us. As long as we can bring value to others at a fair price then it is fair and just that we be compensated for our work.

By working in this "certain way", we can attract wealth into our lives. In other words there is a Science to Getting Rich. That is the the title of Wattles book. It is called the "Science of Getting Rich" (SGR). When Rhonda Byrne found the Science of Getting Rich, it inspired her to create the hugely successful movie, The Secret.

Bob Proctor, star of The Secret and a 40 year student of the Science of Getting Rich, created a home study program called the SGR Program. In it, Bob works through and discusses the science of getting rich in a methodical way through his audio program (10 CD's). Additionally, he challenges us to study the book and fully understand it's content with a comprehensive 180 page workbook. This workbook takes us through each chapter one by one and asks specific questions on our understanding of the text.

This is important because the Science of Getting Rich was written in 1903. While it's contents are still as relevant today as then, the language in the text may be lost on the modern reader. Bob's engaging questions encourage us to think about the book in a way we may not have seen it before. In effect, Bob Proctor expands on the power of the book by getting us to delve deeper into its meaning from our first reading.

That is the power of Bob Proctor. He teaches us to see things more completely and with more clarity. That is a special gift worth exploring.

Jon is a life coach that understands and teaches the Law of Attraction. He provides a holistic attitude to life and wellbeing that encompasses the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional aspects of living so that people can have greater peace and control of their lives.

Jon authors a blog on Law of Attraction at http://jointhesecret.blogspot.com
